Re: z-way-server does not start in Stretch

:-) Wow, amazing! They need logs. And often, this is not provided by the ones complaining about the crashing. But often, the log will not give a very good idea of what went wrong. Interesting to see that these two sentences came from the same person. I have zero issues with that. God bless you! Text...

How to update XML config files for new Z-Wave devices?

Hello, Anyone knows how to update XML config files for new Z-Wave devices , please? I have a bunch of Z-Wave Plus Qubino switches (Qubino PLUS Flush 1-relay ZMNHAD1 ) which have been Z-Wave certified but are not listed in my Device Description window. Therefore I cannot select the appropriate XML fi...

Re: z-way-server does not start in Stretch

Hi Provo, Sorry, I was away for a while. And apologies for making fun of Z-Way developers. But I, like you, run Z-Way for years, and I'm far from being satisfied. Few observations: - any software can crash, no doubts. So you need to plan for it, develop proper logging and support procedures to troub...

Re: z-way-server stopped randomly v2.3.6 from v2.2.5

It looks like v2.3.6 is inherently unstable. Although vendor representative(s) claim that it should not happen and asking for details/logs, but there are many user reports that v2.3.6 just does not work properly after few hours/days. The z-way process just dies without any sign in the log. You can t...

Re: z-way-server does not start in Stretch

Anybody found a work around yet? Stop joking :-) Excuse my first reply above, but you need to realize what kind of product you own. It keeps writing megabytes of logs per hour, degrading the SD card (change the log-level manually to avoid this). It keeps crashing every several versions (current 2.3...

Re: RaZberry2 does NOT resets to factory default

Thanks for suggestion! Indeed, I found it as well :) And eventually I reset my new controller this way. So I assume the reset button does NOT work as intended, and the long press (over 10s) does NOT resets to factory defaults. Sad, because such statements appeared in a paper documentation submitted ...

RaZberry2 does NOT resets to factory default

I am in the process of migrating my house from older RaZberry controller (with 3xxx chipset) to newer RaZberry2 board (with 5xxx chipset). This new RaZberry2 has been connected to RPi 3 and properly configured. Web GUI worked well, so I begun to exclude devices from the old controller and include th...

Re: z-way-server doesn't respond, high cpu load

The same with my Z-Way I am afraid. Terribly slow / unresponsive. I had to cease all home automation rules to avoid family shame... Any feedback from support or developers? I am amazed how careless the z-way development is. Initially I was shocked by the default large amount of z-way logging to a fr...

Re: Repeated corruption of SDcards

@pz1 Thanks for another hint! I WAS searching for 'log level' switch, but obviously not managed to locate it in FAQ section. Good to know :-) So another appeal to razberry manufacturer - pls update the main documentation to include this info. And another question - why brand new installations of Z-W...

Re: Repeated corruption of SDcards

@ pz1 Thanks for the hint on moving logs to USB flash stick! Nice workaround! But I think we should put pressure on Z-Way developers to fix this permanently and not leave this crap with users to deal with. I am another victim of SD card being defective after several months on operation (and to put i...
