maybe I'm quoting the wrong number, but it says ui version 1.10.2 with a built date of 26/4/2020, so not so old. firmware is v3.0.6

thanks for the suggestion, but as I said, the same hardware with a clean buster image works fine. it's only with the one provided by zwave that doesn't work, so it can't be the power.
