/dev/tty is not the correct port

It should be /dev/ttyUSBx. Please check the port. On Windows and Mac OS X it was well tested and proved to work, so the problem is certainly in the selected port.

Z-Way is not available yet as standalone software

Z-Way is only available in Z-Cloud version and will be soon in Z-Box. We do not support yet standalone installations.
