Re: Z-Wave Devices Without Z-Way Device Decriptions
They're using pepper1, yes, but that will need to change as pepper1 is closing down their database. You could ask the Z-Way people to create and add a device descriptor for the MIMOLite. The Z-Wave manual/description can be found here: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/57363221555986b60e62f0f0/...

Re: Question pepper1/zwavedb
There is the Open Z-Wave database of device descriptions. Maybe Z-Way could start using that one? They're formatted a bit differently from the pepper1 descriptors, but if Z-Way doesn't already accept that format, it shouldn't be very hard for them to create a parser that does.

Re: Z-Wave Devices Without Z-Way Device Decriptions
You shouldn't need a device description in order to get it working, apparently. And some of these devices are there, only sorted a bit strangely: Logitech: Harmony Harmony Home Hub Extender Ecolink: Ingersoll Rand Z-Wave PIR Motion Sensor Ecolink Z-Wave PIR Motion Sensor Kwikset 910 w/o keypad: It's...

Re: Module that sets config params
Thanks for answering so quickly, but I guess I wasn't completely clear. :) I know how to set the configuration parameters manually, but I'm wondering if there is a usermodule that makes a virtual device for this and let's me trigger the setting of a certain parameter of a certain device like I would...

Module that sets config params
Does a usermodule exist which lets you set a certain configuration parameter of a certain device to a certain value? Let's say you want to change the mode of a door lock or a thermostat or the soft-start time of a light switch based on the time of day or some other event, and this can only be change...

Re: Security issue: Passwords stored in cookie
It's good that you will fix the cookie issue. Regarding storing passwords as cleartext, as I replied on the github issue (https://github.com/Z-Wave-Me/z-way-issues/issues/83), it is not a matter of 10 minutes to find the password from the hash if the hashing algorithm and password is good. You can't...

Re: Security issue: Passwords stored in cookie
Ok. So passwords are stored on the server in cleartext, saved in a cookie in cleartext and thus passed to the server many times during a session, and there's no SSL support for encrypting this traffic. So unless one has set up nginx for SSL support oneself or is consistently using find,z-wave.me, an...

Re: Fibaro Dimmer 2 (FDG)-212 Fully supported
The device just have a broken firmware. Having Version inside channels for example is just bad (means not allowed). The device announce it but do not answer, so interview will never finish It may well be that I'm misunderstanding the Z-Wave spec, but Chapter 3.52 Version Command Class, version 1 in...

Security issue: Passwords stored in cookie
I just noticed that the Z-Way gateway actually stores the user's credentials in cleartext – both the username and the password – in a cookie when selecting "Remember me" on login. This is seriously not good from a security standpoint. The standard and sane way of doing persistent sessions ...

Re: Incomplete interviews
Pardon me for trying again, but I can't believe I'm the only one with problems getting interviews to complete. As I said, on certain devices there are certain classes for which the interview refuses to complete. So far this has been the case for Fibaro FGD-212 dimmers and an ID Lock 101 door lock. D...
