Which z-way version do you have? I could add the token without a problem under the Management/App Store Access menu. Under On Line Apps tab change the "Featured Apps" tab into "All", and the WS configurator is visable

Wild guess: Maybe some "flutter" in the door sensor? You could install the Counter App and count how many triggers are sent by the door sensor

In principle it is neccessary to restart your z-way service (or reboot your pi). If you did that, I don't know why it is still using the same email service

If you look into the index.js file of the app, below "--- Module metrics" you find the present code. It is not just replacing a SMTP url I think.
I agree it would be nice to use your own SMTP.

Update: Yes users should by all means use the comment option. IIRC authors do get an email notification of the comment.
