Additionally - If I try to force an interview of the device, the device immediately reports that it is in deep sleep and doesn't wake up.

Repeating the "Inclusion" process on the alarm will wake it up, but it fails at the same step of the interview as originally posted above.

According to the Configuration tab for the device under the Expert UI - The interview fails at the Basic Commands section of the interview process. Using the example above will give you the RC 1 update but not the one that fixes the issue. Use the string below in the same manner:

v2.0.2-rc1-12-g8364373

The latest RC of 2.0.2 released July 16th fixed this issue.
