Re: [userModule] Network Presence

Glad you liked it. As I wrote in the description, many modern smart phones put their WiFi to sleep after the display is turned off. This is true for many Android phones as well. There's not really anything that can be done to prevent this on the module side, unfortunately. You will have to change th...

Re: Use Scenes from Fibaro Dimmer2/Switch2

My guess is as good as yours at this point, but have you tried rebooting the rpi or restarting the server with "sudo service z-way-server restart"? Worth a try.

Re: blind spots of the home

The devices don't all need to have direct contact with the gateway. Mains powered Z-Wave devices function as repeaters that will extend the reach of your network.

Re: [userModule] Configurator

Note that version 0.3 beta isn't verified by the Z-Way team yet, so if you install without the token, the icon will not work. If you have already installed it without the token, it should be possible to add the token, and the module should be marked as possible to upgrade. If you have already create...

Re: Use Scenes from Fibaro Dimmer2/Switch2

If I remember correctly, on my system they showed up as they were triggered, so to speak. Try to click, double click and triple click both swithches and see if any new devices appear.

[userModule] Network Presence

There already exists a userModule called Ping Presence that lets you ping an IP to track its presence on the network. However, this module is a singleton which means you can only have one instance of it, and it only lets you track a single IP. I needed to track several, and I wanted better control o...

Re: Use Scenes from Fibaro Dimmer2/Switch2

First make sure you've configured the Fibaro Dimmer 2 correctly, enabling the scene activation functionality – according to the manual, it's parameter 28 set to 1. That should generate a few new virtual devices, each representing a certain click condition. It can take some trying and reading events ...

Re: [Android] Habitat - Open Beta test

I ignore devices where visibility is set to false now. New update being published as I'm typing this ;) You will also want to ignore devices which have "permanently_hidden" set to true. Devices that are deactivated have this, while their "visibility" parameter could still be set...

Re: z-way-server does not start in Stretch

Excuse my first reply above, but you need to realize what kind of product you own. It keeps writing megabytes of logs per hour, degrading the SD card (change the log-level manually to avoid this). It keeps crashing every several versions (current 2.3.6 is a good example). And ... nothing. Virtually...

Re: [Android] Habitat - Open Beta test

When you say "mobile presence device", what do you mean exactly? By the looks of it, the Z-Way module part of your solution is forked from the official mobile app support module. The official one makes a test device for notifications and a presence device for each associated mobile phone....
