This may not be a device-specific issue after all. I am having problems adding other secure devices.
Here is a log from trying to secure include a door/contact sensor:

Re: Vision Door Lock ZM1701
Based on the info in this post: http://forum.z-wave.me/viewtopic.php?f=3419&t=25827&p=71850&hilit=secure+channel+not+established+by+primary+controller#p71850 I tried setting the variable SecureInterviewAsInclusionController to 0 instead of 1 to see if that would get the secure interview ...

Re: helpful tips.
The stick arrived and everything works like a charm. I currently see no reason to use z-way, but i will follow the development ones a while. I have been considering switching to Hass.io or OpenHAB as well. And the Aeotec stick does seem much easier for adding new devices. Did you consider Hass.io a...

Re: AeoTec Smart Dimmer Gen 2
I usually don't use the device descriptions for almost any of my devices. Is there something in particular that you are not able to do with the device?

Re: Binary switch-able AutoLock module ?
I got my problem fixed. I had not inherited BaseModule which is what provides self.log()
Now my new module works correctly. I will be doing testing, and then try to update the AutoLock module.

Re: Binary switch-able AutoLock module ?
I have started some work on my own user module, I'm calling it EnhancedAutoLock for now, and hopefully once I get it working correctly I will actually update the AutoLock module in github and create a pull request. For now, I'm just trying to get it working as my own separate module to hack away at....

Re: Wayne Dalton - WDHA-12R
There currently is no way to re-use an old device ID number. This has been discussed a few times in the forums. I believe the only thing you can do is instead of excluding a device, you can mark it as failed, and the you can use Expert UI to replace a failed device and include a new device to take t...
