I have a WD6001 Z-Wave USB Dongle http://www.goodway.com.tw/ia/product3.a ... typeid=142.
The device is used for the first time after purchase.
During initialization, the Z-Tool (Home Seer) software displays the following message: “Error Init/Sync Initializing Z-Wave Interface: Could not communicate with Interface to get the version.”
This situation was repeated on two different PC with Win XP and Win 7.
Through COM-Monitor software, I can see that the Z-Tool sends twice 0x01 0x03 0x00 0x02 0xFE request in the COM-port, but does not receive a response.
USB Dongle device identification from operation system is correct. I have PL2303 driver v1.8.19. Through Check Chip Version software, I can see that сhip is PL2303HXD model. Means of communication chip is functioning.
I guess that MC (USB Dongle) is defective or does not have firmware.
What do you advise? And how to update the firmware for WD6001?
