Z-Way royalty?

Post by jeromebaron »

Hi everyone,

There's something I don't get regarding the right to use z-way with the razberry module.
Let say I want to develop a product and use a razberry module in it. Do I need to paid a royalty to use the Z-Way stack? Or is it included when we buy the razberry module?

Regards,
Jerome

If your hardware is CPU compatible with Raspberry Pi, and you're using RaZberry boards as is, you may use it without additional fees (I think). But if you want to use it with some custom hardware, licensing may be required.
You'd better drop a letter to razberry @ z-wave.me and provide more specifics. Also you can get a volume discount if you're planning a mass production.
