Can I have two Z-wave controllers active in one house?

Post by Toadmanor »

Hi, I have an Alarm.Com security system and have this hooked to Scalage door locks using Z-wave technology.

I also have a Mi Casa Verde controller. I would like to set up and use this controller for energy and lighting control. Can a home use two separate Z-wave networks at the asme time?

Thanks

New to Z-wave and everything.

On a similar note, if the alarm system uses Z-wave, can you have a controller (RaZberry) connect to those devices without messing up the alarm system? And have other Z-wave devices, that won't be monitored by the alarm system?

I believe the answer is yes. Although a device may only be connected with one controller. So each device must be connected either to the Alarm system or the RaZberry.
