Hello,
i have a danfoss LC13 in my network. Everything worked fine for about 1 year until i had to change
the batteries for the first time. Since this time the E1 error occurs some hours after reinserting the batteries.
If i remove the batteries this game starts from the beginning. The time from reinserting the
battery till LC13 stops communication is random.
E1 means that a transmitter error has been detectetd. The manual says - contact your installer.
Any idea ?

You may have to reinclude the device. Something similar happened to a few of my STellaZ TRVs

I have reincluded the device into the network, but this did not help.
I've seen that during the E1 phases the battery is drained very fast.
During a few hours the capacity changed from 86% to 68%(reported after reinserting the batteries).
I think that the LC13 is damaged and i will return it to the retailer.

I had same issue in my setup - after 12 months I had to replace (send back to Amazon and replace) 2 out of 5 thermostats due to E1 error.
