Remote Access limitations, Carrier NAT

Post by ridewithstyle »

Hello there,

Are there any limitations regarding the IP the zway server must have?

I want to set up a second razberry system which is connected to the internet via surfstick/router of an ISP. So the router does not have a public IPv4, but instead some IP in changing private ranges. Would the remote access still be possible or is this a deal breaker? Currently I am getting an address in the 100.x.x.x Carrier NAT range, but I have seen different ranges in the past.

Has anyone ever tried remote access with Carrier NAT?

Thanks and best regards

no limitations, any NAT is ok. Your Pi just need to be able to access find.z-wave.me on port 22
