I need some help with Logical Rule. How do I define if a trigger should be used dynamic (= one time event) or static (= permanently)? E.g. I would like to use a virtual device as a binary switch to trigger an event. The state change should trigger the event once. But how can I make clear that a condition
DEVICE = ON
means to do it once as soon as DEVICE CHANGES from OFF to ON but not permanently run an action as long as DEVICE is on?
Or do I think too difficult?
Thanks for help!
Dynamic vs. static event in Logical Rule
Re: Dynamic vs. static event in Logical Rule
Differentiate event from condition. If you want to trigger by even, add such devices in the event source. For "permanent" use something else as event source and your switch as part of the condition

Re: Dynamic vs. static event in Logical Rule
Thanks for feedback! However the "Logical Rule" app only shows "conditions" but no "events". Or did I misunderstand your point?
Re: Dynamic vs. static event in Logical Rule
it gives you the possibility to change the event to trigger on
