UZB S2 security?

Post by steinis »

How can I see that my UZB stick support the S2 security and how can I see that the device I add to my network use the same S2 security in Z-way?

All UZBs do support S2 since it is implemented in Z-Way, not in the dongle.

You can check the shield icon in the list of devices or in expert UI check exact keys negociated.

thanks, but how do I see if its S2 vs S0 security? I have Fibaro dimmer 2 that I shall associate with z-uno to control the light from z-uno, but unsure if the dimmer support S2?

If you are using Z-Way, you need 3.0.0 beta version for S2. Then you should see in Expert UI all keys granted to devices on the Configuration/Interview tab

Would it possible at some point to input the security key manually into the server?

I just ran a few tests, joining a network in secure mode fails. In order to add the z-way into my network, I have to set the main controller as insecure. I either need the ability to set the key manually or to join a network in secure mode.
