yes, I started with one byte and iterated up to 4 bytes, to no avail.

Can I provide anymore debug data to help you?

Spirit sends to Razberry Temperature Report in this format:

Spirit send report: [0x31, 0x05, 0x01, 0x42, 0x08, 0x09]
31 - CC Sensor Multilevel
05 - CC Multilevel Sensor Report
01 - Sensor Type Temperature
42 - Size:2, Scale: C, Precision: 2
08 - 22 °C
9A - 02 °C

Need to try send this report to spirit.

All works. From manual, report incoming:

Sensor type: Air Temperature
Scale: Celsius and Fahrenheit
Precision: 0, 1 and 2

Check new app ThermostatExternalSensorEmulation 1.2 in RaZberry, it perfectly send temperature report to Spirit.

Hi there,

I tried feeding back the data to the spirit and here are my results. For comparison, I let the spirit run 24h with a fixed target temperature of 19°C. To see that the values are real, there is an open window for 5 minutes last night that you can see in a temperature drop and resulting overshoot from the spirit.

This morning I switched to the app aivs reported, in version 1.2, freshly installed and set up. All I do is looping back the reported temperature to the spirit, please see attached screenshot for config details.

Now you can see the resulting temperature in the room constantly climbing over the course of the day. Nobody in the room, no external source of heat, it's cold outside, no sunlight heating up the room.

What am I doing wrong? The spirit parameters are as follows
