I saw that about a month ago. The conflict I have is that if you use the Docker that comes with Home Assistant, changes or upgrades that they make may break Z-Way. If you run your own Docker, some of the advantages of just letting Home Assistant take care of everything is lost. If you run them as a VM, then they are both in their native environment as least in their eyes. You still need to get GPIO to Z-Way and possibly USB for BlueTooth to Home Assistant. I've done USB mapping under VMware but not GPIO. The boards I use have UPS and it is essentially using GPIO for communication. So there is that as well. I'll probably just start a new topic since I remember some people asking about Docker.
