So I have the zab and the zbk backup files. I'm trying to migrate from one system to another. I am running Z-Way as the Home Assistant add on. Before the restore, the Razberry 7 Pro was found. After the restore, it can no longer find the Razberry 7 Pro. I have verified that the controller is:
If I go into Z-Way and go back to factory defaults, the controller is found again. So there is something with the backup. The previous system was just a Raspberry Pi 4.

I restored just the Z-Wave network and verified that the devices were shown in the controller. I tried the restore of the just the Z-Way systems (not the Z-Wave portion) and I ran into the same error. I told it to reset to factory defaults (not the controller) and all of the devices are there, just no rooms. I added it into the core Z-Way system that handles the communication between the five Z-Way systems and Home Assistant and the devices are reachable again. On the new system there is just no rooms. I can deal with that.
Obviously there is some issue between restoring from a stand alone system to one that is the add-on to Home Assistant. Given that I'm going to replace most of the Aeotec devices to the latest Inovelli switches, the room issue isn't really that big of a concern right now.
I'm using CM4 modules and the carrier board is the Waveshare CM4-POE-UPS-BOX. This carrier board has built-in PoE so no HAT needed. It also has UPS functionality. So if I need to reboot the switch for code upgrades or a power failure, the system will stay running. It also uses the PCIe lane for NVME storage. So I have a 500GB NVME drive the system runs off of, this drive is for a NAS and can handle .7 DWPD so it should have a long life since I won't be doing anything near that. The system will be mounted on a DIN rail.
I'm also using the Waveshare low profile heatsink for the CM4 module. I'm also using a 1mm thick silicone thermal pad that is in the shape of the heatsink to help in heat transfer from the CM4 to the heatsink.
I'm using three Samsung 25R 18650 2500mAh 20A batteries on the board. This are not the highest output batteries available but they are some of the safer options available.
Future plans will be to add the HACS integration for multiple Home Assistant systems into one. It works similar to how Z-Way does this. The local Z-Way will feed into the Home Assistant on the same system since Z-Way is now just an add-on to Home Assistant. This will get rid of the Z-Way system that I have that combines the five Z-Way systems into one and communicate with Home Assistant. At times I have an issue with that system albeit it is a lot more stable now than previously, the Z-Way process isn't failing albeit some still have that issue.
