Razberry and Fibaro door/window sensor

Post by janog »

Hi,

I am trying to include a Fibaro door/window sensor with the newly aquired Razberry, but the Razberry won't include it.
I have included a Fibaro dimmer without problem, but the d/w won't register.
I have tried every trick in the book, and every good idea in the forums.

Has anyone successfully included the FGK104 Fibaro d/w with the Razberry?

I have tried these combinations:
- Lid closed, three quick taps on the back tamper button
- Lid closed, three slow taps on the back tamper button
- Lid closed, three->ten quick taps on the back tamper button
- Lid open, three quick taps on the inside button while holding the outside button
- All of the above combinations with and without magnet closed

I successfully can reset the d/w, and do this between every attempt.

Anyone with some good ideas for this?

Thanks,

It works someway...

Hi Jan,

I have included this one successfully. It seems to be a bit tricky.
Try to do the following (out of my mind, I guess this one was the sequence which worked for me):
1. Open the sensor's case to see the LED
2. Place the magnet on the sensor's side
3. Press and hold the button on the underside of the sensor
4. triple-click the button inside the sensor
The LED's flashing behavior should change when doing so.
If it does NOT work, try to first use Exclude in the RaZberry GUI and repeat the steps above.
Probably it was (mis)included somewhen before.

Good luck!

Stefan

PS: First thing to check is if the LED is flashing when adding/removing the magnet. My first sensor of this type was broken and completely silent. This cost me surely an hour until I was sure that the hardware was defective...

Hi Stefan,

Hi Stefan,

The LED flashes when adding/removing the magnet, when inserting the battery and when resetting the device.
That's the only time the LED flashes.
You say that "the LED's flashing behavior should change when doing so", but nothing happens when clicking three times. I had tried your recipe before also, but tried it now several times without success.
No LED flashing when clicking the tamper buttons...

Could I be looking at a defective hardware here?

Hmmm

Post by Tiptop »

Hi Jan,

Hmmm... try to press and hold the button on the underside of the sensor, then, at the same time, press the button which is located on the inside of the sensor multiple times. In my case, the LED begins to pulsate (fast fading between dark and bright). I guess you really should see a different reaction compared to adding/removing the magnet.

Have you tried the reset sequence, already (see manual)?

Ok, now I have tried it again....

Here is what works in my case:

1. Remove the magnet
2. Start the inclusion mode of RaZberry
3. Press and hold the underside button
4. Click the inner button multiple times (more than 3 times) in a rather fast manner (pause between clicks less than a second)

=> This includes the sensor, in my case.
Again, try the same sequence with the exclusion mode, too!

Good luck!

Stefan

Unexpected bahaviour

Post by garp »

I can actually include the FGK sensors, but i'm getting unexpected behaviour. Status updates that don't reacg the controller (open/close not registered) and temperatures that are not being updated. Running Z-way 1.4.

Any ideas what causes this?
