Control somfy rts shades

Post by VoD »

I'm very interesting by this product but before buy it I have a question.
Today, I have somfy rts shades drived by a remote (a telis), is it possible to control directly my shades with the razberry without adding 3rd devices?
Thanks for your answer.

Did you use Raspberry for that? I was planning to do the same as you did via some of the remaining GPIO pins plus some buffer electronics. I bought an extra remote for it already.

Hi Jan,
What kind of optocoupler did you buy?

I found a howto (sry it is in french) http://www.planete-domotique.com/blog/2 ... que-tiers/
Is it this kind of assembly that you did? I think it's a little expensive...
Is there another solution to drive my shades using a raspberry?

this is pretty close. The gnd cable is just one sufficient. I bought just cheapest optocoupler. Led part is connected to raspberry. Transistor is attached to microswitch of buttons...

Thanks for the reply. I am also looking for some effective rain and wind force guages to control the opening of my shades. The main screen is 3*4 meters. Wind force doesn't need to be precise; a binary thingy that says it is above or below Beaufort 6-7 would be fine. For rain I would like to detect the first drops that fall. I came across this one: http://www.rainsensors.com/ that seems to do that.

Jan,
I'm a newbie in electronic... Do you have a schema, some photos or an howto?
My goal is to drive my somfy shades using a raspberry and keep place on it to drive other things like my garage door for example.

Safe to drive directly from GPIO?

Can you drive the opto coupler led directly from the GPIO pins?
