How to upgrade RaZberry firmware?

Post by cyberhofi »

Hello,

the changelog of v2.1.2-rc15 says i have to upgrade the firmware the 5.04.
The expert UI says i have Firmware 5.0 so how do i upgrade to 5.04?

On the razberry homepage i can not find any documentation about this.

Will be available in next release candidate.

But you can also do it now via direct line:

Hi gents, I have just updated the firmware via the link stated in the earlier post.
Tried to do the same with the boatloader (2015-11-12 5.4 Update bootloader for 05.04 to 538d) afterwards, but I'm not successful in doing so. The site just throws the following exception: "Error handling data"

Now the z-wave board seems no longer to respond to commands of the raspberry, meaning, i can no longer switch any actor.

Any idea how i can fix that again?

First Updated bootloader ( 5 Update bootloader for 5 to 538d) then updated firmware to 5.04
Did a "Factory reset" Rebooted (power off/on) and added one device (Aeonlabs Gen 5 breaker)
Had some trouble when adding device but second attempt was successful.

Now is says:
Library Type: Static Controller
SDK Version: 6.51.06
Serial API Version: 05.04

When looking at "localhost:8083/expert/#/uzb" there is a "update": 5.4 Update bootloader for 05.04 to 538d
Should i attempt to install that or is the one above the same?

I'm trying to make upgrade of bootloader "Update bootloader for 01.00 to 538d" but also get "Error handling data" message.

Same issue, tried it with 2.1.1 and 2.1.2-Rc17 on a clean install of wheezy, but both give "Error handling data from server" Cannot upgrade firmware, is there a way to do this via cli?

After I set the freq to EU (even that it showed EU)

[2015-12-02 11:05:15.350] [D] [zway] SETDATA controller.data.frequency = "EU"
[2015-12-02 11:05:15.350] [zway] Job 0xf2 (Change/Get Z-Wave.Me firmware frequency): Done
[2015-12-02 11:05:15.350] [D] [zway] Job 0xf2 (Change/Get Z-Wave.Me firmware frequency): success
[2015-12-02 11:05:15.350] [zway] Removing job: Change/Get Z-Wave.Me firmware frequency

Things start to work again!

!!! EU is for my controller and frequency/country I live in, you should set to what ever you should) !!!

suggestion: I think the update routine should check what freq the controller is running, and after the update it should SET the freq on controller automatically.
