Can't remove device force

Post by Wikibear »

I had a defective device and i would to exclude it.

I can start via "device is broken or lost" but i get only:

" The wireless connection to the device is tested. This process may take some minutes. If the device is alive it will _NOT_ be excluded from the network. In this case use the exclusion and reset process above."

Nothing happens any more. Are there another way to remove not needed device?

Just a shot in the dark. Have you tried to re-include?

For mains - just try to send any command and then remove as failed.
For battery - mark as failed and then remove as failed.

Both are to be done in Expert UI on the Network -> Control tab

How to mark it as failed?
I have tried to do the link test in Expert Mode, Device/Status/Status Check, but it is still in deep sleep mode and recognized as battery_operated_remote_control.
It is not available in Network/Control/Network Maintenance/Remove Failed Node.
In regular mode, Devices/Z-wave-Manage/ there is X option to delete it as defective, so I marked it as "device is broken or lost" and pressed "Remove Permanently". Unfortunately this procedure stuck and does nothing.
It keeps showing:

" The wireless connection to the device is tested. This process may take some minutes. If the device is alive it will _NOT_ be excluded from the network. In this case use the exclusion and reset process above."

Anticipating further question. Device is not in range :)

Thx in advance
