What's the status of v2.3.4?

Post by AlphaX2 »

Hi,

since 18. April there is a v2.3.4 release online that's not marked as RC-version, but there is neither a Changelog nor a official post. Due to the fact that my System is running nicely on 2.3.1 - the question is: update or not? Is there any (official) information about the status or changes? :?:

Thanks.

Those were technical releases with some hot fixes. We expect new 2.3.5 within two weeks with many improvements in all parts of the software. So, may be worth to wait a bit.

Thank you very much for the update. So I'll wait - because at the moment it's running fine. And I hope the UI will use some ideas from your new mobile app. ;)

Will 2.3.5 fix the long standing problem with the z-way server dying?
When will it be released?

Hi everybody,
for some reasons, on one of my installations, I literally became hostage of the v2.3.4 : every 2 or 3 days I’m forced to restore a manual backupfile to recall the system up until it start to loose ids and getting in troubles. Because I really need to solve this problem, every day, I’m looking forward to reading from zway website the issue of a new release v2.3.5 (I also tried to use some release candidates but with no luck).
Now, the question is: why if we are still waiting v2.3.5 official release (at the moment there is v2.3.5-rc13-1-gccb74ba) we can already see a v3.0.0-rc1-7-g8f9d781 release candidate? I’m a little confused.
I hope zway team will clarify on this.

v2.3.5 will fix those stability problems (due to big JS files) and add few more features.

The new v3.0.0 that you have noticed is same as v2.3.5, but with the new Security S2 support. After v2.3.5 there would be v3.0.0 (if we will not find any sever problem in this new S2-capable implementation)

Yes. RaZberry and WD usually comes one after another. v2.3.5 will be released soon.

As for v3.0.0, it will be availble only RaZberry only unless people really want to test it on other platforms. For this you need to have S2 devices.

Does V3 work with S2 at this time?
I do have a raspberry attached to z-wave bridge controller but it is joined as an S2 device.

Also, what is required for S2? I have a My Cloud and the UZB for it. I have a lock that isn’t learning in properly and I’m hoping some updates fix that.
