Best Raspberry Pi Z Wave controller?

Hi all
My Raspberry Pi 3 is now on order, and I'm researching the best (i.e. reliable AF) way to add Z Wave capability.
I've seen a couple of options used, including an Aeon Labs USB stick, but have also found a raZberry board which appears to plug into the GPIO. This looks neater but I'm unsure if it has decent range.
What do you use, and would you recommend it?
