Z-Wave Plus 5th gen chip ZM5101 upgrade\replacement

Post by OneWorld »

Hello,

Is it possible to replace my board Z-Wave Plus 5th gen chip ZM5202 to the new Z-Wave Plus 5th gen chip ZM5101
and save all my current settings ?

When I replace the hardware to a new "Z-Wave Plus 5th gen chip ZM5101 board" from my Z-Wave Plus 5th gen chip ZM5202 board ,
my Zway app doesn't recognize previous devices.

Do I need to make the replacement through "new controller process " ?

You just need to make a backup (in Expert UI), replace the board and do restore with restore of chip information. That should do the job

I must be missing something then. I just attempted this with no success. I'm on 3.1.1 with a zm3202. backed up the controller using expert ui. powered off. replaced card with the ZMEURAZ2. powered on. did a restore in expert ui. no network devices. hard reset/powered off. powered back on. still no network devices except the controller of course. any advice?

Nevermind my previous post. I was successful on the third attempt. I made sure to check replace network topology as well.
