Cannot include devices S2/S0 on RaZberry 7 Pro

Post by n-gauge »

Inclusion in Expert UI of S0-devices in 'Secure S2 & S0' always fails, I get the message 'Security S0 timeout'.
Inclusion of the same device in Standard UI succeeds, but with failed Security interview.
This happens with all my devices.
The problem has been the same whether using FW 7.05, 7.13 or 7.21 and Z-Way 3.2.3 or 4.0.0. I'm currently running FW7.21 and Z-way 4.0.0.

To test if it may be a software problem I reinstalled my old RaZberry 2 with FW5.39, still running Z-Way 4.0.0. No problems at all with inclusion and security interview.

Somebody else had/has this problem?
Should I assume the RaZ-7 is defective? Or is it a FW-issue? (3 generations FW with same problem seems unlikely, though)
The problem has to be with RaZ-7, as everything works fine with the RaZ-2, the rest of the HW/SW-configuration being exactly the same.

I have included me device with node 91 and it got "s0 timeout" message. I then excluded it and reincluded.

Now it got id 92 and also timeout.

This problem have been there for a while. It will need 5-6 include/exclude retries to get it working.

We will make a fix soon in the firmware. It will be a workaround since the root is in the SiLabs SDK: it makes hangs for more than 8 seconds in read/write operations and gets kicked by the WatchDog at the end. Please wait for the next version of RaZberry firmware

Thank you!

I'm happy to beta test anything as I have a few devices waiting for inclusion because I don't want to retry inclusion for like 5-10 times per device.

I have installed the new update, but I still get same issue.

Or will the updated firmware come in another update?

The current firmware is 7.28 / 07.17.02.01 SDK 7.17.02.

If that is what you upgraded to, then that was released long before the post from PoltoS on 12/21 talking about a future firmware upgrade.
