What can Z-uno recieve?

Post by kjetilhansen »

Hello :)

I am using Fibaro Home Center Lite, and are planning on using my Z-uno for controlling DC shutters.
I have 4 windows, and want to send information from the homecenter to the Z-uno, so what kind of information can I send, I have manage to have on-off signal sendt so I can control relays, but I was maybe hoping that I can send values from the Home Center to the z-uno, like value 10 is all shutters open, 20 is all shutters close, 11 is shutter one open and so on...

Sugestions? :)

Currently Z-Uno supports only five type of channels and only two of them accepts values (have setters): Switch Binary and Switch Multilevel. The first one supports only On/Off, the latter can support 0-99, 255. In theory you can use those values not like some range mapped to 0-99, but like you mentioned. But I would suggest instead to make 4 SwitchBinary channels and control those shutters individually via the corresponding channel. This is the Z-Wave style.

Please check this example looking almost like what you want: https://z-uno.z-wave.me/projects/four-power-relays/
