External service button

Post by perjar »

Hi,

Has anyone implemented an external service button? I want to hide my Z-uno in an enclosure but want a servce button to be available to the user via an external push button.

The pin layout suggests that pin 23 and pin 18 can be used for this purpose because pin 23 is called SERVICE and they are connected with a dotted line but I can't get it to work.

I have connected a button between pin 23 and 18 and thought that this was how to do it but it does not work. Do I need to configure the pins in any particular way in the code to make it work?

Between pin 18 and pin 23 there is a diode (this is why it is dotted) to wake up Z-Uno on the Service button.

You external button can be connected to pin 23 and should pull the pin to GND once pressed. This is how native Service pin is done
