Z-uno as a Zwave controller

Post by nicossx »

Hello,

I am looking to study several types of LE communication with a distance greater than 30m for a connected sensor system in a house.
I have already tested the NRF52840 card with Bluetooth 5. I now want to test with Zwave communication.
So I bought two Z-uno to try to make them communicate with each other (just connected and send a variable 0 or 1 to light a led) a simple trick to test the consumption and max distance in free field and through walls. But I can not.

Looking a little better I saw that I would need a Z-wave controller type Razberry or UZB plug on raspberry3 or pc

Is it possible to use a Z-uno as controller by connecting it to my raspberry or my pc?

Is there another solution?
Thank you for your help

No, Z-Uno is not a controller, but a slave device. You need a controller to configure it and link to another Z-Uno
