Include Z UNO in SmartThings

Post by dad4holmes »

I can include in Vera (can't get it to work right but it is there) and I can include in ZWay (App crashes trying to add a smartphone and interface is very basic)... So... I picked up a SmartThings V3 hub.

I can not get it to include no matter what I try. Never sees it.

I have reset (hold for 5 sec and push 3 times)
Used ZWAY to exclude
Used Smartthings to exclude

SmartThings never sees it. To add I have tried:

"Auto detect"
Aoetec Open/close sensor

The see
"Full support once a proper profile is selected. In most cases profiles from other similar devices will work. In some cases you need to make your own profile. Smart Things provides a very powerful tool to build your own profiles for devices."
but that does not help me... I assume that is done after it is included? If it is done to include, I need better instructions. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

First of all make sure that it is included - look on Z-Uno LEDs. The inclusion in ST is pretty tricky

If it is included, but nothing is seen in the UI, please have a look on our SmartThings handlers on GitHub. They should solve the problem

I do not see any difference in the lights blinking after it is included on a different controller... What should the lights look like...

When including on zway, the red light blinks more as it is configuring the device.

Smartthings does not indicate it sees anything. It does not think it is including. If I use smartthings to exclude, it responds. I am able to include light switches on smartthings so the hub seems to be working but just does not like this device. The live log does not anything other then the normal searching when I try to include.

Make sure to exclude it first.

We have also got in direct contact with the Smart Things team recently to make a new implementation of Z-Uno support instead the one with handlers. We will try to make it in June
