Making RaZberry the primary controller (shift)

Post by beowulff »

I have my RaZberry as a secondary controller, with an HA07 as the primary one.
I would really like to make the RaZberry the primary controller, but I seriously do not want to have to wander all over the house, excluding and including devices. Is there any way to make the RaZberry the primary controller with a software command?

I think you can make it SIS (assign itself as SIS from the RaZbeery UI). It will not be original Primary, but will have it's role

Hi,

i had the same situation and did as you described to make Razberry primary controller. Everything worked fine except including devices using security CC. In the log files i always get this message: " Node 15:0 CC Security: secure channel not established by primary controller - skipping security"

This is because during inclusion you have not got the S0 key from the original Primary.

Depends on your HA07 - I don't know how to extract the key from it.

BTW, doesn't it pass security key to Z-Way during inclusion?

Bumping this thread as I seem to be encountering a similar error in my log files concerning the inability to add (what I presume to be) an S0 Garage Door opener.

How can I tell whether or not my RaZberry device has this S0 key? it's honestly been *years* since this network has had any controller other than the RazBerry, and I'm fairly certain I added this Garage Door opener with the RazBerry as controller.

Its my only 'Secure' device... and I just want to factory reset it and be able to re-add to my network. How do I re-initialize or otherwise ensure that my RaZBerry is the 'primary' controller.... as until now, I always thought it was!

You can check in Network -> Controller Info what Z-Way knows about the primary controller
