Downgrade?

Post by stefxx »

Hi,

Please help me in downgrading my UZB to version 5.6. I tried everything, and nearly all versions of z-way but I can only downgrade down to 5.7, not lower. I know it is an old version but it is the only version that is currently fully supported by HomeSeer, and I need it to restore my Z-Wave network.

Only other option is to start over and include 60 devices again... some of them very hard to reach. Thanks!!

Regards, Stefan.

I found a post that a downgrade from 5.16 to 5.6 is possible (here: viewtopic.php?t=25346#p70243) however I cannot find a version of z-way server that allows me to upgrade to 5.16 first. Has this option been pulled since that post?

Thanks again.

Looking here I see that you should downgrade first to 5.06

Sorry, I have been looking at this diagram for a long time but I don't see any downgrade path to 5.(0)6. Can you be a it more specific?

Thanks!

There is UZB/5.16/29304 -> UZB/5.6/29304, but in your case you might have a newer bootloader (after last /). We never expected people might want to downgrade so much.

But I think you can upgrade edit the HTTP request the page is doing (open browser console), change the bootloader CRC to 29304 and download the file.manually. Then use to upgrade using a file.

Thanks PoltoS for helping me. And I do consider myself an advanced user, but I need more specific instructions to make this work. On which page do I need to open the browser console and were do I find the http request and change the CRC in order to download the file manually?

Thanks!
